位置不錯，就在沙灘旁邊，很安靜，離小鎮有幾公里路，需要打小車，來回20元左右。酒店泳池有小蟲子，餐廳飯味道一般。入住沒有檢查熱水，半夜洗澡沒熱水，酒店前前後後找不到服務人員。。。第二天早上才看到人！不過服務員態度挺好，酒店比較乾淨，老闆人不錯。

We booked our stay at Melheim for two nights and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. After a 4 hour drive getting there and arriving just after midday, hungry and ready to order food, we were told that nearly all items on the menu weren’t available; this was a common occurrence of our duration there. The attendant was overbearing, he would stand at our table and look at us while eating and ask questions about the food and not leave the table. On two occasions we found flies in our food and complained. The dining room is not air conditioned and doors are left wide open so while you’re eating during the day you’re attacked by flies and evenings you’re attacked by mozzies. As far as the positives go, the rooms were spacious, clean with comfy beds and air conditioner.

Ruhiges Resort mit viel Platz direkt am sauberen Strand. Lokale Fischer mit ihren Booten gut zu beobachten. Die Fischer freuen sich über Hilfe, die Boote am Strand hoch zu ziehen. Gutes Restaurant. Extrawünsche jederzeit erfüllt. Geräumige und komfortable Bungalowhälften. Gerne wieder.

Wunderschöne kleine, familiäre Anlage mit 3 Doppel-Beach Bungalows, in denen ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt habe mit absolutem Erholungsfaktor. Die Bungalows sind auf einer grosszügigen Fläche im Sandstrand verteilt, dazu gehört ein schönes Restaurant, in dem Frühstück und tagsüber das Essen eingenommen werden kann... wahlweise natürlich auch draussen im Sand unter Palmen. Die Bungalows sind sehr geplfegt und werden ebenso gereinigt. Das Personal ist freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und setzt sich für das Wohl der Gäste ein. Teilweise ist die Verständigung aufgrund fehlenden Sprachkenntnissen nicht ganz einfach, jedoch konnte man sich immer auf die eine oder andere Weise verständlich machen :-). Ich würde dieses kleine, abseits gelegene Hotel jederzeit wieder wählen und jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Es waren für mich karibisch erholsame Momente im Melheim Beach Resort Kalpitiya.

Straordinario! Camere pulite, belle, spaziose, con aria condizionata e vista mare. Letto comodissimo, bagno grande con doccia moderna e spaziosa. Servizio impeccabile. Molto attento, rapido ed efficiente, hanno esaudito ogni nostra richiesta. Cibo incredibile (la migliore cena in Sri Lanka l’abbiamo fatta qui, al Melheim Beach). Giardino con amache e piscina. Complimenti, senza ombra di dubbio il nostro miglior soggiorno sull’isola. Super consigliato. Grazie!!!

MELHEIM BEACH by itself is a very nice small place, only six spacious rooms in twin Bungalows, well designed (though not soundproof at all as advertised), well kept right on the beach. The sea was rough during our visit not inviting to take a bath. Unfortunately there are some drawbacks which might spoil your stay. Right in front of the hotel entrance stands a huge wind turbine which creates a certain kind of sound level that can be disturbing. The big coal power plant Norochcholai is only about 500m away to the north and the beach outside the hotel premises is pretty dirty. Maybe the cause for a lot of flies annoying you when you sit on the verandah outside your room watching the sunset. Unforgettable however –in a positive way- is the boat trip (well organized by the hotel) to go dolphin watching. Not to forget either: the food offered by the restaurant (we were on half board): delicious and presented with a lot of love to details. The maybe most outstanding asset of Melheim is NISAL. He is bellboy, Room Service, waiter serving the food in the restaurant, all in one person: an amazing guy !!!

Located about 13km from the Palaviya turn off on the road to Puttalam, about half a km from the Norocholai Coal Power Station. The whole area is also dotted with wind turbine towers. The beach is clean in front of the resort, but not the other areas which are lined up with fishing boats where one can watch the untangling of fish, crabs and lobsters from the nets, and their sale to travelling fish-vendors. The resort consists of 6 cabanas, all facing the sea. Overall the property looked drab without color or pictures to adorn the walls. The set meals were good and the overall service excellent, with Ananda taking the lead. The floors of the cabanas tended to be a bit slippery (perhaps due to over-polishing), the lighting wasn't enough for reading. A hand-rail by the commode would be helpful for elderly guests to cling onto when sitting and rising. Only bath towels were provided, and not face towels.
